About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the planning, forecasting, and production lifecycle for multiple interdependent data, analytics, and AI products
  • Build and maintain the DES data and analytics product roadmap
  • Establish self-service data and analytics for manufacturing, quality, and delivery data
  • Operationalize advanced analytics and agentic AI investments within the operating model
  • Partner with central DT and Enterprise Data on data fabric and ontology adoption
  • Take AI-enabled ideas from concept to working software and evaluate prototypes for production investment
  • Embed with operators, planners, and engineers at the Genba and build capabilities with them
  • Convert KPI and TTI gaps into working capability through rapid prototyping
  • Define value cases using delivery metrics and report outcomes against 2026 DES measures
  • Influence Executive Band leaders and partner with business, finance, and DT leadership on investment decisions
  • Set data and AI standards across the DES horizontal
  • Mentor product managers and engineers on systems thinking and experimental product practice
  • Manage supplier and contractor partners delivering analytics and AI work
  • Lead portfolio risk management, including export control, cybersecurity, data governance, and responsible AI
  • Translate business problems into product bets and quantify value
  • Establish performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead and influence across a complex matrix organization
  • Direct and mentor others, remove roadblocks, and drive organizational change

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT
  • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Ability to travel 10-50%
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee
  • Hands-on experience producing data pipelines, ontology and semantic models, notebooks, agent workflows, and functional user interfaces
  • Fluency in Python, SQL, or equivalent
  • Ability to move ideas from proof of concept through medium- and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Experience owning data platform and advanced analytics products at scale
  • Working fluency with machine learning, large language models, retrieval, and agentic patterns
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and MRO data and systems, including MES, ERP, quality, and shop-floor technology
  • Deep technology, process, and domain expertise
  • Track record of understanding current and emerging technologies through training, job experience, or industry activities
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles; Green Belt certification is an example
  • Comfort operating inside a Daily Management system
