About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform electronic and electrical repairs and installations for a wide variety of applications within the Rutland operation
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair CNC controls, tool positioning systems, PLCs, measuring quality control equipment, and electrical distribution equipment
- Use electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, recorders, component testers, and simulators
- Interpret complex schematics and logic/ladder diagrams
- Utilize technical and reference manuals
- Perform soldering, component replacement, and PCB repair
- Apply extensive electrical and electronic theory
- Complete tasks encompassed by previously held maintenance positions
- Work the designated weekend work shift, with potential holiday, shutdown, overtime, and temporary shift-change assignments
- Assignment may change according to workload
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive knowledge of GE Maintenance and facility operations
- Maintenance MR/ER certified
- Excellent communication skills
- Good computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Maximo
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Commitment to team goals
- High peer and production area credibility
- Demonstrated follow-through on assigned projects and tasks
- In-depth PLC and ladder logic knowledge
- At least 18 years of age by the time of joining
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- Broad range of GE equipment repair experience
- Vermont Electrical License
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
