About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general technical direction and assistance to customers in operating, maintaining, repairing, providing logistic support for, and installing GE products
  • Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction
  • Provide Project Engineering, Program Management, and Field Service management with complete and prompt program status, customer problem, failure, trend, and climate information
  • Communicate program activities and problems to Product Support and Field Service through regular, timely reports
  • Prepare reports and communicate significant market intelligence and sales opportunities for assigned programs and support
  • Assist customers with maintenance and workload scheduling
  • Help ensure parts meet established schedules
  • Make recommendations based on findings
  • Review maintenance-action effectiveness to identify training needs
  • Anticipate requirements beyond immediate program needs and help implement actions to address them
  • Perform intermediate- and depot-level maintenance
  • Perform hands-on repair and maintenance of the R391 Composite Propeller System and related components
  • Support the R391 (C130J) Composite Propeller System and related components at Hurlburt Field, Florida

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Up to 60% travel to global destinations
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.
  • 2+ years performing extensive repairs and conversions, as well as maintenance and repair work, on aircraft engine and/or propeller systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Aviation experience in a Field Service or Maintenance position
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven analytical and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, internally and externally
  • U.S. Person status required to access U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • May be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
