About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leverage state-of-the-art inspection technology to ensure manufactured components meet dimensional and material quality requirements
  • Work with GE Aerospace engineers to implement nondestructive testing methods including x-ray computed tomography, phased array ultrasound, and infrared thermography
  • Apply 3D non-contact metrology methods such as structured light and optical tomography in a manufacturing environment
  • Contribute across the inspection process from inspection design through data collection, digital image analysis, and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (without rounding)
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or related major
  • Attending a full-time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program
  • Completed at least one full year of college (rising sophomore)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willing and available to work at Evendale, OH; Springdale, OH; or West Chester, OH
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States required
  • Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas
  • Must satisfy U.S. Person status requirements for access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen required
