About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advise the ITC Executive Leader and set the strategic vision for obtaining export authorizations for GE Aerospace
  • Develop export licensing strategies for new product and program campaigns
  • Lead and manage GE Aerospace export licensing and operations teams across all business divisions and subsidiaries
  • Support global engagement and activity as required
  • Enhance systems and procedures to manage export registrations and authorizations
  • Lead engagement and communication with government officials
  • Ensure export authorizations comply with ITAR and EAR requirements and U.S. national security and foreign disclosure policies
  • Engage senior business leaders, program managers, and functional leaders to identify needs and optimize export authorizations for global growth
  • Partner with the U.S. Government and industry counterparts to monitor authorization trends and best practices
  • Monitor proposed authorization-related laws and regulations and advise stakeholders on business strategy implications
  • Drive technology, system, and procedure enhancements to optimize authorization management and compliance with GE Aerospace ITAR registration
  • Collaborate with ITC Leadership on continuous improvement
  • Undertake special projects and support compliance program improvement initiatives
  • Apply Flight Deck and AI to optimize preparation and submission of export authorizations to government agencies
  • Embed trade compliance requirements into business operations and decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associate’s degree with minimum of 12 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 14 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in International Trade Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, or a related discipline in a complex global organization
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • Ability to lead teams and influence across functions
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt and grow in an expanding organization
  • Strong judgment and unyielding integrity, with ability to balance compliance and business considerations, manage risk effectively, and escalate appropriately
  • Ability to collaborate among all levels of the ITC organization and business
  • Ability to develop effective networks with internal customers and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management, prioritization, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer relationship, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives collaboratively and independently
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of the business, regulatory landscape, and industry dynamics
  • Experience in the application of non-U.S. export control and sanctions regulations
  • Experience in international business, contracts, supply chain, engineering, or relevant discipline
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status as a U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or protected individual with asylee or refugee status
