About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess, define, and improve GE’s next generation of military products

  • Mentor others and contribute to Design Board activities, including Design Practices, Best Practices, and Lessons Learned
  • Support commercial programs as required
  • Analyze and evaluate assigned projects with limited guidance
  • Document technical data according to engineering policies and procedures
  • Communicate significant issues or developments in a timely manner
  • Participate in organizational efforts and technical/program reviews as presenter or reviewer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited University or College
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Preliminary Cycle Design
  • GE Aerospace will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
  • Must prove status as a U.S. Person: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee or refugee status
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Recognized expert in Preliminary Cycle Design
  • Expert experience with NPSS
  • Exposure to both military and commercial engine design requirements
  • Cognizant of system level interactions and life cycle cost implications
