Senior Sales Manager – Lockheed Martin Customer Account Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and grow GE Aerospace’s relationship with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics
- Facilitate senior leadership engagement to win business and deepen the long-term partnership
- Understand customer vision, business model, portfolio, markets, competitors, and GE Aerospace priorities
- Lead strategic account planning with customer and internal stakeholders
- Align priorities across GE Aerospace P&Ls, Strategy & Business Development, and other functions
- Represent the customer voice in capture teams and differentiate GE Aerospace offerings
- Lead pre-positioning of opportunities and drive activities through Intent to Order and formal campaigns
- Address business issues, solve problems, and preserve strong customer relationships
- Translate growth priorities into executable plans to expand business
- Support executive engagement at tradeshows, conferences, summits, and management reviews
- Ethically source and synthesize competitive intelligence
- Travel approximately 15%–25% as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct sales, business development, and/or account management within the Aviation or Defense industry
- In-person attendance required for New Hire Orientation on Day 1
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated credibility engaging directly with customers
- Experience presenting strategies and complex information to peers and senior-level leadership
- Strong customer mindset and ability to develop customer-focused strategies
- Understanding of the Defense market, including airframer, competitor, and supplier positions in technology and product strategy
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense budgeting and acquisition processes
- Existing security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one
- Ability to travel as required by the business
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems and lead complex programs or projects through execution
- Strong business acumen, including financial considerations, business cases, and customer value propositions
- Experience working directly with senior officials on security, defense, or commercial issues
- Ability to inform strategies with sales, customer, and competitor data
- Alignment with GE Aerospace Behaviors and unyielding integrity
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
