About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide dedicated technical leadership for the CSCX Customer Subdomain
- Make architectural decisions in parallel with development work
- Vet designs before implementation to reduce downstream rework
- Partner with existing team architects to relieve capacity constraints and accelerate delivery timelines
- Strengthen technical decision-making and solution governance across current and upcoming initiatives
- Define, design, and evangelize the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data initiatives
- Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable data fabric solutions
- Develop and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines
- Drive integration of on-premise, cloud, and third-party data sources into a unified data fabric
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams
- Identify and mitigate data security, privacy, and compliance risks
- Stay current with data fabric, data management, and customer experience trends and technologies
- Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience, OR Associate’s degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Architecture
- Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing data fabric solutions using data virtualization, data cataloging, and metadata management tools
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
- No employment visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Preferred: Master’s degree
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related technical role, including at least 5 years focused on large-scale data fabric or distributed data systems
- Preferred: Strong understanding of relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and data warehouses
- Preferred: Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, S3, ADLS, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks
- Preferred: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
- Preferred: Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy principles
- Preferred: Experience leading complex technical projects and influencing cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills
