About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, design, and evangelize the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data initiatives across CSCX
  • Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Translate requirements into robust and scalable data fabric solutions
  • Develop and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across customer data assets
  • Integrate on-premise, cloud, and third-party data sources into a unified data fabric
  • Enable seamless data access and consumption for applications and users
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams
  • Identify and mitigate security, privacy, compliance, and other data-related risks
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data fabric, data management, and customer experience
  • Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes for knowledge sharing and future reference
  • Make and vet architectural decisions in parallel with development work
  • Partner with existing team architects to accelerate delivery and strengthen technical decision-making and solution governance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum 5 years of professional experience, OR Associate’s degree with minimum 8 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with minimum 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Architecture
  • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Proven expertise designing and implementing data fabric solutions
  • Experience with data virtualization technologies such as Denodo or Tibco Data Virtualization
  • Experience with data cataloging tools such as Collibra or Alation
  • Experience with metadata management tools
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available
  • Preference given to candidates living in the Eastern Time Zone
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree
  • Preferred: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related technical role, including at least 5 years focused on large-scale data fabric or distributed data systems
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and data warehouses
  • Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, S3, ADLS, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and influence cross-functional teams
  • Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience is a strong plus
