About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, deliver, and maintain software applications and services
  • Work in cloud, platform, and/or application development
  • Manage software lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, documentation/procedures, and implementation
  • Collaborate with product managers, product owners, support and implementation engineers, user experience designers, architects, and other software engineers
  • Implement solutions aligned with and extending shared platforms and solutions
  • Apply SDLC principles and Lean/Agile/XP, continuous integration, software and product security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and testing techniques
  • Write code meeting standards and delivering desired functionality using project-selected technologies
  • Build features for new and existing web applications, web services, and cloud platforms
  • Understand, assess, and improve application performance
  • Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using a language of choice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative or technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analytics, data science, advanced analytics, or a related technical field
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SolidJS, Blazor, and HTMX
  • Experience writing backend code in ASP.NET and C#
  • Experience working in cloud platforms and building cloud-native software; Azure a plus, AWS, and Google Cloud
  • Experience deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure; Bicep a plus, Terraform, and ARM
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Graph, and OAuth a plus
  • Experience with storage and caching tools including Cosmos DB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQLite
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Awareness of Lean/Agile/XP methods and practices
  • Prior work experience in an agile environment or introductory training on Lean/Agile
  • Awareness of and ability to apply continuous integration (CI)
  • General understanding of the impacts of technology choice on the software development life cycle
  • Experience effectively using AI tools a plus, especially Cognition's Devin AI
  • Ability to break down problems and estimate development-task time
  • Understanding of current technology trends and ability to bring new ideas to the team
  • Ability to summarize customer requests and distill them into common, cross-cutting features
  • Understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer
  • Ability to understand how team and personal goals contribute to the organization vision
  • Ability to present clear rationale and use data or factual evidence to influence
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks on time and with high quality
  • Ability to take independent responsibility for assigned deliverables
  • Ability to seek thorough understanding of problems and clarify ambiguous requirements
  • Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and experiment with new software frameworks
