About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead information technology for multiple MRO shops across the United States
  • Own the performance, reliability, and availability of local IT infrastructure and applications
  • Ensure secure, stable, and compliant operations across supported sites
  • Partner with shop teams on digital improvements
  • Implement the roadmap for digital improvements across IT infrastructure and applications
  • Influence LPBs and below on decisions
  • Represent information technology as part of the Shop leadership team
  • Partner with the business on lean and process improvement initiatives and business transformation using digital tools
  • Maintain familiarity with business applications and overall business flow at supported sites
  • Apply knowledge of the digital product catalog to site operations
  • Work on machine instrumentation initiatives
  • Monitor WAN, LAN, and WLAN performance and escalate issues
  • Build relationships with Central DT product teams to resolve networking and application issues
  • Initiate technology obsolescence and improvement projects
  • Learn new tools, integrate new methods, and drive improved outcomes
  • Plan implementation activities with change champions
  • Implement monitoring and feedback systems
  • Solicit ideas for improving primary business processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR associate degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT
  • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • Must have broad knowledge of IT disciplines, including compute, network, and storage platforms
  • Strong technical foundation in infrastructure technologies
  • Ability to travel 10–15% as needed to support other sites
