About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the operational maintenance and day-to-day running of SAN storage infrastructures
- Administer and operate Cisco SAN and Pure Storage environments
- Handle incidents and service requests, providing expert-level support to client teams
- Contribute to enhancement projects, including migrations, hardware upgrades, and version upgrades
- Design and implement solutions to improve performance and operability
- Develop and modernize administration tools, particularly by migrating Perl scripts to Python
- Contribute to automation using Ansible, as well as monitoring and compliance tools
- Support technical studies, capacity planning, and infrastructure evolution
- Monitor technological developments in storage and SAN solutions
- Participate in the on-call rotation, approximately one week every five to six weeks
- Work regularly with international teams, particularly those based in Porto
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two- to five-year degree in computer science or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in storage infrastructure / SAN
- Proven expertise in Cisco SAN is essential
- Initial experience with Pure Storage is expected
- An interest in automation and Python development is a plus
- Experience with production environments and operational maintenance
- Professional proficiency in English is essential
- Autonomy, attention to detail, and the ability to work on critical infrastructures
- Availability to participate in the on-call rotation
- Participation in on-call duty approximately one week every five to six weeks
