About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic and operational financial support for assigned Geisinger Health business units and leadership teams
- Facilitate quarterly operating and capital forecasts, long-range financial models, and business plan financial models
- Participate in month-end financial close review and analysis, including volume, revenue, expense, and balance sheet trends
- Lead monthly operating reviews, variance reporting, and corrective action planning
- Present financial performance to operational leadership
- Support financial acumen education for operational teams
- Implement, educate, and communicate financial management reporting tools and benchmarking reports
- Lead financial performance improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve performance
- Analyze business-unit financial performance with operational partners
- Develop business plans and retrospective financial reviews
- Support capital requests and prepare return-on-investment financial models
- Improve cost accounting methodologies for RVU development and indirect expense allocations
- Collaborate with departments to optimize revenue performance and reporting
- Support OneGeisinger financial reporting
- Provide insights to improve Financial Planning and Financial Analytics services
- Communicate finance policy, guideline, requirement, and rule changes and support internal-control adoption
- Participate in finance improvement projects involving information systems and analytical tools/models
- Participate in special projects, reporting requirements, and committees
- Assist finance leadership with workload prioritization, delegation, performance reviews, and goal setting
- Coordinate project work and teams to achieve department goals accurately and on time
- Mentor and lead Finance Partners through onboarding, training, and team development
- Supplement finance-tool training for business units
- Develop and maintain business partner relationships across the Geisinger enterprise
- Collaborate with leaders to promote Finance Strategic Aspirations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Minimum of 6 years of related work experience (Required)
- Resident of the Eastern Standard Time Zone
