About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide full-time piping design engineering support for facility and production area activities in Category 2 and Category 3 facilities
  • Provide design output documentation for minor facility modifications, including drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, equivalency evaluations, and calculations
  • Perform pipe stress analysis
  • Develop designs in accordance with ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1
  • Work with other engineering disciplines and plant organizations to produce timely design output
  • Apply Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance practices in a nuclear-regulated environment
  • Interface with clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees
  • Perform field walk-downs and work in a production environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an ABET accredited University/College
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance, if needed
  • Good understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance in a nuclear-regulated environment
  • Experience developing designs in accordance with ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1
  • Experience performing pipe stress analysis
  • Experience performing field walkdowns
  • Experience with AutoPipe is a plus but not required
  • Experience in an NRC- or DOE-regulated environment is desirable
