About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver Generac’s “Customer First” promise through excellent customer care
  • Use technical product knowledge to provide informed decisions and recommendations
  • Receive and document all customer interactions in real time
  • Respond to customers via email, phone, text, and chat
  • Maintain contact center metrics, including customer satisfaction, productivity, and adherence
  • Resolve customer technical and non-technical inquiries and issues
  • Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Use product materials and available tools to answer customer questions
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, services, and promotions
  • Maintain product knowledge through training and continuing education
  • Escalate complex inquiries or complaints to specialized teams
  • Maintain the Outlook email inbox, calendar, and tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience in a customer service role or technical troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass product and process testing following training
  • Must work consistently from Thursdays to Mondays
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts starting between 7:00am CT and 10:00am CT, depending on schedule
  • Must sit in Wisconsin for on-site training for 4–6 weeks
  • Ability to occasionally travel
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to perform frequent and continuous computer-based work, including periods of sitting, close vision, and adjusting focus
