About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Track inventory and stock changes within a distribution setting
  • Ensure part quantities are accurate and raw goods are in the correct location according to the inventory system
  • Assist with inspecting shipments
  • Maintain records and adjust discrepancies
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse
  • Track items, parts, and products inside the warehouse
  • Work with management to recommend improvements
  • Learn to operate and become proficient in driving power equipment
  • Look up products and identify missing inventory
  • Research locations of missing inventory and correct system errors
  • Perform dynamic cycle counts and inventory adjustments
  • Use barcode scanners, computers, and/or RF tools to enter and adjust items in the inventory database
  • Report directly to a Production Supervisor, Materials Supervisor, or Distribution Supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months experience in manufacturing or comparable work environments where duties include inventory control
  • Understands the cycle count methodology
  • Can perform counts and adjustments in SAP as needed
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to effectively send out emails to other plants
  • Ability to operate equipment safely
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good problem solving/analyzing skills
  • Communicate effectively
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds
  • Occasional travel
