About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex and/or mechanical products
  • Read and interpret blueprints, basic drawings and schematics
  • Clean repaired units and perform cosmetic paint touch-ups
  • Complete final packaging of repaired units and accessories
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools
  • Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment
  • Identify parts and materials needed for basic repairs
  • Perform repairs in compliance with company quality standards
  • Escalate product issues appropriately
  • Respond to written and verbal communication requests
  • Participate in the department 5S program
  • Accurately report work performed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three months experience repairing any type of mechanical product in a manufacturing environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills to implement appropriate countermeasures
  • Intermediate PC functions, including ERP business systems, Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Understanding of repair processes
  • Basic reading and math functions
  • Basic manufacturing assembly and test skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Positive and professional work ethic
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, manipulate objects or controls, and occasionally stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders
  • Occasional travel
