  • Drive growth for Generac’s Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage and Microgrid business
  • Lead sales strategy and develop key customer and channel relationships
  • Convert opportunities into successful deals
  • Champion value-based energy solutions
  • Build a strong sales pipeline
  • Partner across the organization to bring customer and market insights into product development, positioning, and support strategies
  • Leverage market, field, and end-user insights to shape product positioning, development, customer support, pricing strategies, and business growth
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
  • Expand existing and new product sales through executive-level engagement and strategic account development
  • Partner with Marketing on market development and branding strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and site visits
  • Establish goals, budgets, KPIs, and operating plans
  • Monitor customer profitability, pricing, competitive activity, and performance metrics
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to cross-functional teams
  • Support talent development, performance management, succession planning, and alignment of team objectives with broader business strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising sales teams
  • Strong understanding of internal processes and systems
  • Experience in complex account management, business planning, budgeting, P&L ownership, and financial analysis
  • Demonstrated success in strategic and complex selling
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and manage high-value customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Preferred: 10+ years of commercial, applications, product experience in the distributed power generation industry
  • Preferred: Direct sales leadership experience (5+ years) in the power generation industry
  • Preferred: Experience value selling energy systems solutions to commercial and industrial customers
  • Preferred: Understanding of distributed power and energy markets across the U.S. and Canada
  • Preferred: Ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams, establish KPIs and performance metrics, manage deal pipelines and forecasts, and drive bookings and revenue growth
  • Preferred: Collaboration with product, applications, engineering, operations, supply chain, and service teams
  • Preferred: Experience managing complex negotiations and supporting successful project execution
  • Up to 50% travel
  • Valid Driver’s License required
