About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Engineering Team
- Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications for propulsion-related hardware, including motor cases, nozzles, insulation, joints, and structural interfaces
- Support design integration, configuration control, and release of accurate, manufacturable mechanical designs
- Apply engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate design/application feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements
- Specify system components or direct product modifications to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations to maintenance crews
- Collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines
- Receive moderate guidance and direction while exercising discretion and judgment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience
- Engineering degree required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
