About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead structural design, development, integration, and verification of critical solid rocket motor hardware
  • Perform structural modeling, analysis, and documentation for motor cases, nozzles, insulation systems, joints, load-bearing interfaces, and other primary structures
  • Apply advanced engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test mechanically functioning equipment
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate design feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements
  • Specify system components or direct product modifications to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operation, and recommend actions to maintenance crews
  • Lead others and potentially lead functional teams or projects
  • Travel up to 25%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree and 8–10 years' experience
  • Engineering degree required
