About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary liaison between GM, dealerships, and key business partners
- Coach and mentor dealership leadership and staff to improve operational performance and achieve sales goals
- Analyze dealership performance, sales trends, market conditions, competitive activity, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Support launches of new products, programs, and initiatives by coordinating sales, marketing, and communications
- Optimize vehicle and parts inventory through forecasting, ordering, allocation, and stabilization strategies
- Become a subject matter expert in GM’s Consensus allocation system and vehicle ordering system
- Track dealership commitments and action plans and ensure timely completion
- Drive adoption and sales of GM vehicles, accessories, products, and services through territory-specific business plans
- Resolve customer and dealership concerns with cross-functional stakeholders
- Monitor dealership training participation and compliance with GM standards
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to assess dealership operations and support execution of GM programs and initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years' experience in Sales, Marketing, or related fields with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and reporting tools, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization; preferably with Google workspace
- Ability to travel up to 75% to different locations within your territory
- Must possess and maintain the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in accordance with the licensing requirements of the states in which work is performed
- Must currently reside within the territory or be willing to relocate to Des Moines, IA, Quad Cities Area, or an approved surrounding area within 60 days of the start date
- Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
- Preferred: strategic business planning, data analytics, strong communication, problem-solving, customer focus, relationship management, and ability to adapt to ambiguity
