Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team responsible for hardware design and release within Energy Conversion Systems
  • Provide leadership across GM and supplier engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in all phases of product development from initiation to launch
  • Knowledge of GM engineering processes, tools, and vehicle / propulsion development processes
  • Working knowledge of ICE propulsion and Electric Vehicle propulsion
  • Experience leading projects and people, directly or indirectly
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization and planning capability, with the ability to identify and remove roadblocks and escalate as appropriate
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to balance technical and business needs
  • Strong collaboration skills and enterprise business acumen
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and support timely decision making
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with a high level of composure and proven results
  • DFSS black belt
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • Masters in Engineering, Management, or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Prior DRE experience (preferred)
  • Prior people leader experience (preferred)
