About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conserve leaders’ time by handling administrative details and expediting email and phone correspondence
  • Collaborate with GM executives and administrative staff at all levels
  • Schedule meetings and maintain dynamic calendars
  • Arrange U.S. and global travel, including passport and visa requirements and expense reporting
  • Manage dedicated conference room scheduling
  • Exercise independent judgment on ambiguous tasks with minimal input
  • Back up other administrative assistants as necessary
  • Lead multiple tasks while balancing interruptions
  • Update records, confidential files, and reports
  • Revise staff and department group distribution lists
  • Serve as the point person for the Advanced Engineering Execution team at the Warren Technical Center

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated ability as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or similar administrative type role
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently on projects in a fast-paced environment with changing timelines
  • Skilled problem-solver with capability to determine solutions to unusual problems
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and video conferencing
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to collaborate across organizational levels
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, and initiative/self-direction
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed
  • Up-to-date, valid driver’s license
  • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to report to the Warren Technical Center at least 3 times a week
  • Relocation benefits are not available; relocation costs are the candidate’s responsibility
