About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering interface with Product Engineering
  • Ensure product compliance with manufacturing requirements and General Assembly strategies
  • Represent the single global Manufacturing Engineering voice for the assigned compartment
  • Participate in CITs to understand product design and communicate manufacturing requirements
  • Communicate product information and requirements to the ME execution team, MSIEs, and leadership
  • Reinforce compliance with GA strategies, including Bill of Process, BEC, and material strategies
  • Verify compliance with manufacturing requirements in AUROS and document and track issues throughout GVDP phases
  • Resolve issues with Product Engineering and Global Manufacturing Engineering in Working Calls, escalating deviations in Leadership Calls when required
  • Lead virtual studies and assessments at program virtual synch points
  • Perform virtual analyses using 3D visualization software (Teamcenter Vismockup)
  • Participate in program-level L2/L3 PFMEAs and represent Manufacturing Engineering in DFMEAs
  • Participate in Peer Reviews with Product Engineering
  • Document process and tooling requirements for regional execution
  • Support identification and evaluation of ergonomic issues with the regional ergonomist
  • Develop and communicate the program virtual build sequence in the 3D environment
  • Participate in PVB, APPV, PPV, and MVBns builds at AIC or receiving plants
  • Act as co-chair in the IRT and support the PRTS resolution process
  • Address deviations related to Manufacturing Requirements with technical specialists and program, execution, RQME, and launch teams
  • Work with AIC to provide and validate processes and equipment as the first M&E prototype

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering degree
  • Active CREA
  • Fluency in English
  • Availability to work at the technology center in SCS
  • Knowledge of Vismockup, NX, AutoCAD, MPD (Master Process Document), STDS (Standard Time Data System), and TeamCenter
  • Spanish
  • Experience in tool design and virtual build
  • AI literacy
