About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the day-to-day execution of the MSIE team
- Ensure reliable support for End of Line test/flash and vehicle production testing across GMNA
- Develop organizational strength through performance coaching, employee capability building, career growth support, and talent selection
- Identify End of Line operational gaps and drive improvements in pass rates, throughput, and system effectiveness
- Partner with manufacturing, product, IT, and launch teams to resolve issues, improve EFTQ, and support software deployment
- Foster a forward-thinking culture that embraces change and prepares for organizational and industry challenges
- Build strategic relationships across software, manufacturing, and program management to support future innovations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach, train and evaluate engineers while supporting career growth and building team capability
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics
- Proven ability to quickly assess plant issues, provide useful feedback and remove roadblocks before they impact throughput or quality
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and build strong plant/customer relationships
- Experience with CAN, DTCs, DIDs, and network topologies preferred
- Plant launch and production support experience preferred
- Experience with the GVDP and corresponding elements for Manufacturing Software Readiness preferred
- Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis
- Required to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
