About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the relationship and business results for AutoZone while supporting growth of GM’s ACDelco business
- Administer, negotiate, and renew vendor agreements between GM and AutoZone
- Maintain a consistent headquarters-level business cadence
- Deliver sales and growth objectives by expanding products and stock-keeping units within the account
- Lead quarterly business reviews, line reviews, and action plans
- Partner with AutoZone on marketing, promotional, and growth initiatives
- Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and customer insights to recommend assortment, pricing, and promotional actions
- Coordinate supply chain forecasts for product launches, line expansions, and promotions
- Partner with Finance to develop and implement product pricing
- Evaluate trade-offs across sales, margin, and service
- Resolve back-orders, past-due orders, pricing issues, claims, returns, deductions, and fines
- Manage promotional and return reserve budgets and related policy adjustments
- Lead new-product setup and supersession activities
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, Cataloging, and Marketing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience managing national or key accounts, including vendor-agreement negotiation, pricing or supply issue resolution, and sales and margin growth
- Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales and growth targets in a customer-facing role
- At least one year of experience using the IMS system, including running reports and supporting account workflows such as pricing, order status, and part release
- Ability to analyze sales, margin, and inventory trends and translate insights into account actions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Workplace
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel
- Must possess and maintain the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in accordance with the licensing requirements of the states in which work is performed
- Experience building senior-level customer relationships and influencing cross-functional partners
- Experience leading quarterly business reviews, line reviews, and documented action plans
- Ability to identify root causes and drive resolution of pricing, supply, claims, and product issues
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to evaluate trade-offs across sales, margin, and service levels
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Self-starter approach with an ownership mindset
- Advanced reporting skills
- Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Must live in an approved city within the assigned territory or relocate within the specified timeline
- Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
