About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop technical privacy solutions for enterprise and vehicle programs
- Analyze business, data, and system requirements to identify privacy risks and control requirements
- Perform design analysis and recommend privacy-by-design implementation approaches
- Develop technical specifications and engineering artifacts for privacy capabilities
- Participate in software design reviews and provide privacy engineering guidance
- Support development teams with implementation and troubleshooting of privacy controls
- Correct software design issues and privacy-related defects
- Communicate privacy engineering best practices across the software engineering community
- Serve as a Privacy Engineering Subject Matter Expert within assigned programs and initiatives
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain privacy-by-design solutions across enterprise platforms and vehicle systems
- Engineer privacy controls protecting personal, sensitive, and regulated data throughout its lifecycle
- Build and operationalize privacy-enhancing technologies and reusable privacy services
- Embed privacy requirements into data, analytics, AI, software, and vehicle development processes
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate privacy controls into applications, platforms, APIs, and data pipelines
- Support privacy reviews, solution assessments, audits, regulatory reviews, compliance assessments, and remediation activities
- Contribute to privacy engineering standards, reference architectures, frameworks, best practices, and technical documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, or related technical disciplines
- Experience implementing privacy, security, data protection, or governance controls
- Strong understanding of Privacy by Design principles and data protection concepts
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Cybersecurity, or Data Governance teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software development skills
