About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the management system enabling consistent, efficient, and data-driven execution across the Infantry Squad Vehicle portfolio
  • Integrate ISV contracts, variants, work directives, and program-management workstreams
  • Maintain technical, schedule, financial, and contractual baselines and assess portfolio impacts of changes
  • Translate contractual requirements into executable plans with cross-functional teams
  • Define, document, standardize, and maintain ISV program-management operating processes
  • Develop and manage SOPs, process maps, RACI charts, templates, checklists, dashboards, decision briefs, study charters, reporting packs, and training materials
  • Monitor process adoption, compliance, cycle time, quality, and rework, leading corrective actions
  • Identify and implement automation and AI-enabled solutions for program execution and product development
  • Define AI use cases, data requirements, controls, human-in-the-loop reviews, test cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Lead prototypes, validation, deployment, adoption, training, and sustainment of digital solutions
  • Build automation and AI opportunity backlogs and delivery roadmaps
  • Lead creation and maintenance of ISV cost-account structures in accordance with MIL-STD-881 and internal standards
  • Ensure traceability among contract scope, work breakdown structures, cost accounts, charging structures, personnel, and reporting requirements
  • Own contract-deliverables integration, including CDRLs, technical products, program artifacts, and IMS tasks
  • Oversee CDRL development, review, approval, tracking, submission, and reporting
  • Partner with the IMS lead to maintain an accurate, resource-informed integrated master schedule
  • Supervise, prioritize, coach, and support 2–3 Assistant Program Managers
  • Plan and execute trade studies and analytical projects supporting engineering, production, sustainment, business cases, and investment decisions
  • Provide structured updates to ISV leadership and facilitate risk, issue, opportunity, and change-management reviews
  • Prepare materials for internal program reviews, Army reviews, senior GM Defense forums, and customer engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • U.S. Person required: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee
  • U.S. citizenship required to comply with federal government contract provisions
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in program or project management, preferably in automotive, aerospace, defense, or a similarly complex product environment
  • Experience leading integrated schedules, contract deliverables, cross-functional teams, and execution planning on multi-year programs
  • Working knowledge of work breakdown structures, integrated master schedules, risk and issue management, baseline change control, cross-functional dependency management, and cost accounting
  • Experience translating contractual or customer requirements into standardized processes, executable plans, defined work products, milestones, and ownership structures
  • Experience creating and implementing standards, templates, governance mechanisms, dashboards, or reusable program-management products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project or an equivalent scheduling tool
  • Ability to evaluate and apply automation, data, and AI-enabled tools
  • Experience synthesizing technical, financial, schedule, and contractual information into clear narratives
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, influence without direct authority, drive closure, and operate effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • No immigration-related sponsorship available; candidates needing GM immigration sponsorship are ineligible
  • Position subject to export-control restrictions
  • Periodic travel of less than 20%; posting also states travel may be under 25%

  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Systems Management, Program Management, or related discipline
  • Preferred: master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, Program Management, or related technical discipline
  • Preferred: U.S. Department of Defense program experience, military vehicle program experience, process automation, AI-enabled solutions, digital product management, Earned Value Management, supervision or mentoring, and executive-level decision-support experience
