About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Regional Director and Zone Managers to develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with GM corporate and brand objectives
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement targeted improvement plans
  • Liaise between regional field teams, corporate sales operations, marketing, and dealer network development
  • Translate national sales programs into actionable field-level initiatives
  • Lead LMA strategy and coordinate with Martin Retail Group, Detroit, and local advertising groups
  • Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, incentive effectiveness, and dealer profitability
  • Use data tools and dashboards to forecast sales performance, measure dealer KPIs, and optimize retail and fleet volume objectives
  • Support vehicle planning and allocation processes to align inventory with market demand
  • Support dealer incentive programs, sales contests, and retail execution initiatives
  • Coach and develop field teams in sales tools, data reporting, and operational best practices
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance teams on regional strategies and budget priorities
  • Provide corporate teams with feedback on market dynamics, dealer sentiment, and program performance
  • Lead and participate in special projects, pilot programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor dealer contact and sales support performance, manage workload and priorities, resolve escalations, and ensure consistent service quality
  • Translate enterprise priorities into actionable plans and improve processes using data, dealer feedback, and frontline insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 8+ years of sales or sales operations experience
  • Strong automotive industry knowledge and business acumen, potentially including sales, aftersales, service operations, and customer experience management
  • Proficiency in Google Workplace, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to different locations within the territory
  • Must legally operate a motor vehicle in accordance with licensing requirements of the states where work is performed
  • Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
  • No GM immigration-related sponsorship is available now or in the future
  • Preferred: prior automotive sales experience
  • Preferred: strong analytical and financial acumen, including interpreting complex data into actionable insights
  • Preferred: excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Preferred: leadership and collaboration in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: proficiency with OEM sales systems, Power BI, Excel, and CRM platforms
  • Preferred: ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines
