About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Test regulatory requirements to ensure systems function according to regulation
- Test vehicle programs where applicable regulations are present
- Work with Regulatory Integration Engineers and Regulatory Compliance Owners to understand requirements, create test cases, and execute test plans and methods
- Perform bench- and vehicle-level testing at Milford and Warren sites
- Plan and execute regulation-related testing to meet vehicle program timing
- Develop test methods and models for critical system components
- Automate test scripts and work with HIL setups in closed-loop model environments
- Capture and analyze data to troubleshoot issues
- Execute Jira and PRTS work tickets and create issue documentation
- Generate and approve test evaluation reports
- Schedule test properties
- Analyze and interpret requirements
- Build archives and flash program vehicle software components
- Set up test environments using test fixtures and tools
- Mentor new engineers
- Travel as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field
- 4–6 years of experience in Electrical/Infotainment Systems
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- High level of organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects across multiple programs
- Able to work within a team of engineers and communicate issues and testing results effectively
- Ability to act as a single voice for bench/vehicle-level testing for assigned regulations
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms
- Knowledge of CAN-based communication and tools
- High level of analytical ability for unusual and complex problems
- High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
