About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain foundational embedded software platforms for software-defined vehicle solutions, including drivers, operating systems, BSPs, and software stacks
  • Develop embedded software and device drivers for automotive display systems
  • Develop Linux software features to control display-device powering, configuration, and activation
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and integration across the full software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, software services teams, and SoC vendors
  • Build and manage a shared vehicle compute platform
  • Optimize performance, memory usage, startup time, and power efficiency for high-performance embedded systems
  • Contribute to production-quality software using embedded software best practices in automotive and safety-critical domains

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded operating systems
  • Experience developing or integrating display software, device drivers, or display hardware
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
  • Solid understanding of embedded hardware architectures, including processors, memory management, and peripherals
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART communication protocols
  • Solid understanding of Linux kernel frameworks, including DRM/KMS, DMA, V4L2, and device trees
  • Experience deploying commercial embedded systems
  • Familiarity with ARM architectures
  • Experience with bring-up, validation, and system-level testing of SoCs and display hardware
  • Experience with DisplayPort, HDMI, or MIPI DSI is preferred
  • Experience in automotive or safety-critical software development is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, or equivalent is preferred
