Interact closely with the entire CORE scrum team, Systems Architect, development team leaders, business team members, and other development team members
Provide leadership and technical expertise for multi-layered solution architectures covering business, application, data, and infrastructure designs
Build high-quality systems that solve complex problems at massive scale
Develop in an Agile/SAFe environment
Develop applications on back-office microservices, mobile, web, and in-vehicle customer platforms
Leverage General Motors' private Pivotal Cloud Foundry and hybrid cloud environment
Work with notification platforms, customer domain applications, and big data backend services
Enable continuous availability across numerous technologies
Leverage technology for a new generation of connected vehicles worldwide

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field of study
Six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role
Six (6) years of experience delivering Java and JEE business solutions
Six (6) years of experience working with an agile development environment and DevOps culture
Six (6) years of experience developing 12-factor microservices using Continuous Integration, Build, and Delivery with Spring and Spring Boot
Six (6) years of experience with RESTful APIs and event-based messaging
Six (6) years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Git, Junit, Dynatrace, ELK, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Yaml, Swagger, Insomnia, Maven, Azure compute services, AKS, Istio service mesh, Argo CD, and observability tools
Six (6) years of experience supporting applications in production, including incident management, triage support, notification platform knowledge, Firebase Messaging service, and Apple Push Notification Service
Five (5) years of experience building and maintaining automated CI and CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Server, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Black Duck, Chef, and SonarQube
Five (5) years of experience writing basic SQL queries
Five (5) years of experience with Oracle, Postgres, and NoSQL/Cassandra
Five (5) years of experience designing and implementing container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Five (5) years of experience with ELK stack and dashboarding within Kibana
Four (4) years of experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
Four (4) years of experience utilizing platform and infrastructure-as-a-service technologies and services including object store, configuration management, and service registries
