About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and test Digital Key Services using repeatable industry best practices and GM's software development project methodology
- Interact with the core scrum team, Systems Architect, development team leaders, business team members, and other development team members
- Design, code, implement, and deliver a new platform
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to assess design feasibility within time constraints
- Confer with analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and understand project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
- Consult with customers or departments regarding project status, proposals, and technical issues
- Coordinate software system deployment
- Determine system performance standards
- Develop or direct software system testing, validation procedures, programming, and documentation
- Modify software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance
- Monitor application code to ensure conformance with specifications
- Store, retrieve, and manipulate data to analyze system capabilities and requirements
- Train users on new or modified application code
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study
- Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or related role
- Three (3) years of experience delivering Java Business Solutions
- Three (3) years of experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Three (3) years of experience with SQL and Oracle
- Object-oriented analysis and design experience
- Proficiency with Microservices, Kubernetes, Bitbucket, and Maven
- Agile development techniques including TDD, JUnit, and Mocks
- Experience with Hibernate and Web Services including REST and SOAP
- Experience with cloud technologies including AWS
- Experience with automated testing and a TDD approach
