About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, integrate, and optimize the Mechatronic Abstraction Interface
  • Own the entire life cycle of assigned products, including requirements, system design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software modules
  • Participate in designing an in-vehicle Abstracted Mechatronic Platform for GM's new electronic architecture
  • Follow the software development process
  • Ensure designed solutions conform to architectural requirements including scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Consultant, or related occupation; OR Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Consultant, or related occupation
  • One (1) year of experience with automotive control systems with RTOS platforms
  • Programming and debugging complex code bases in C and C++
  • Scripting languages including shell and Python
  • Automotive serial communication CAN/LIN protocols
  • AutoSAR and Adaptive AutoSAR development
  • Service-oriented communication protocols including SOME/IP, DDS, and REST
  • Scrum/Agile software development processes and SCM tools
  • Must be able to report to the local office
