About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and scale enterprise integrations and data pipelines across GM
- Connect Google Workspace, SaaS platforms, enterprise AI tools, and GM core business systems
- Establish reusable GCP-native integration templates, accelerators, and reference implementations
- Align integration architectures with enterprise data standards, identity guidelines, and security policies
- Secure workflows processing regulated or sensitive data with Security, Privacy, Identity, and ILM teams
- Evaluate integration requests and recommend SaaS configuration, GCP-native services, or custom engineering approaches
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, webhooks, and middleware pipelines connecting GCP with Workday, ServiceNow, and internal systems
- Define data mappings, transformation logic, exception handling, and monitoring models
- Modernize legacy and Microsoft-dependent interfaces into event-driven Google-aligned patterns
- Build workflows orchestrating data movement and actions across HR, IT, and enterprise ecosystems
- Design coexistence approaches for Microsoft, GCP, and internal environments during migration waves
- Coordinate data cutover sequencing, permissions validation, metadata mapping, and post-deployment stabilization
- Partner with Product Leads and TPMs to embed GCP-native integration capabilities into operational processes
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, architecture guidance, and engineering best practices
- Deliver technical designs, dependency maps, runbooks, and handover materials for long-term sustainment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in integration engineering, platform architecture, enterprise application integration, or software engineering within complex corporate environments
- Hands-on experience architecting and building enterprise pipelines using Google Cloud integration products, including Apigee API Management, Google Cloud Application Integration, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
- Experience mapping dependencies across SaaS applications, data layers, identity services, and business processes in large enterprise environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Deep technical knowledge integrating GCP with Workday and ServiceNow using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration hubs
- Production-level proficiency in Python and scripting or automation frameworks
- Extensive experience with REST APIs, webhooks, middleware solutions, and event-driven architecture patterns
- Strong understanding of Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging distributed integration issues across hybrid environments
- Knowledge of enterprise authentication, authorization, and identity frameworks, including GCP IAM, OAuth2, SAML, and OIDC
- Experience collaborating with product managers, engineering teams, TPMs, security leads, and business stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Active professional-level Google Cloud certification, such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Integration Engineer, preferred
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migration or platform coexistence programs preferred
- Familiarity with Google Workspace administration, Google Workspace APIs, Google Apps Script, and AppSheet preferred
- Experience with Gemini Enterprise, BigQuery, Dataflow, Glean, Slack, and Databricks preferred
- Familiarity with corporate data retention, ILM, privacy frameworks, and regulated data controls preferred
- Experience with automated testing, cutover planning, data validation, hypercare support, and sustainment models preferred
