About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct workshops with engineering and business stakeholders to understand data structures, engineering change cycles, and variant management needs
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and scalable Teamcenter solutions
  • Design end-to-end solutions for multi-level Product BOMs, variant configurations, effectivity controls, and eBOM/dBOM alignment
  • Determine when to use Teamcenter out-of-the-box capabilities versus customization
  • Map business objects, attributes, and relationships for BMIDE implementation
  • Provide functional requirements, structural wireframes, and business logic to PLM technical and development teams
  • Architect engineering change management workflows and ensure workflow templates and access managers meet compliance rules
  • Oversee UAT, validate deployments against business intent, and lead functional troubleshooting
  • Own business process models, user stories, and product backlogs from project definition through production transition
  • Build and execute UAT and training plans with stakeholders
  • Lead end-user workshops and map complex process flow diagrams
  • Partner with PLM architects, developers, data migration teams, and technical delivery partners during the Teamcenter transformation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7 years of experience in an applicable business environment focused on Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions architecture, deployment, and hands-on environment configuration
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Technical literacy in installing, patching, tuning, and configuring multi-tier Teamcenter environments, including Web, Enterprise, and FMS/FSC tiers
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle program lifecycles, component tracking, and variant-rich configuration management
  • Robust understanding of automotive product lifecycles, configuration management, and large-scale Teamcenter enterprise transformations
  • Proven knowledge of large-scale PLM migrations, legacy data strategies, system decommissioning, and global user rollouts
  • Ability to independently lead high-visibility meetings and facilitate end-user sessions using probing questions to extract clear requirements
  • Strong risk-management capability to identify system bottlenecks, downstream ERP data drops, and design gaps
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical Teamcenter dependencies for executive review
  • Must not require GM immigration-related sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, or other immigration support
