About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own integration of the Stamping Execution value stream from die and process concept through tryout, launch, and homeline delivery
  • Connect Engineering, Design, Process Integration, Die Execution, Secondary Tryout, Planning, and Manufacturing Operations
  • Lead die-to-press and tryout integration plans across design, simulation, die execution, secondary tryout, plant loading, and homeline delivery
  • Own and evolve Global Launch Process deliverables for Stamping
  • Integrate plant production requirements and T-event loading with Planning
  • Forecast die-delivery cadence and identify schedule, capacity, and readiness risks
  • Establish priorities, operating cadence, and escalation paths for Pontiac STF, Parma, and integration resources
  • Define, revise, and sustain standardized execution workflows
  • Convert technical and plant learnings into updates to design standards, tryout methods, process plans, and launch requirements
  • Identify recurring constraints and drive corrective action beyond individual programs
  • Architect and maintain performance measures, deliverable tracking, and joint Engineering / Execution KPIs
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving, make tradeoffs visible, and escalate decisions
  • Participate in selecting new employees
  • Train, develop, and evaluate employees
  • Establish group objectives aligned with organizational KPIs and initiatives
  • Evaluate processes and procedures for continued development and digitization
  • Oversee tooling activities and review manufacturing-process proposals
  • Develop long-range plans for process and manufacturing improvements
  • Provide technical assistance to maintain manufacturing performance
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and Corporate and unit management control systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience integrating Stamping Execution value streams from die and process concept through tryout, launch, and homeline delivery
  • Ability to connect Engineering, Design, Process Integration, Die Execution, Secondary Tryout, Planning, and Manufacturing Operations
  • Ability to lead die-to-press and tryout integration across design, simulation, die execution, secondary tryout, plant loading, and homeline delivery
  • Knowledge of Global Launch Process deliverables for Stamping
  • Ability to assess launch-excellence criteria, die-delivery cadence, schedule, capacity, and plant readiness
  • Ability to establish priorities, operating cadence, and escalation paths for Pontiac STF, Parma, and associated resources
  • Knowledge of standardized workflows for secondary tryout, T-events, R-events, virtual die books, and execution deliverables
  • Knowledge of simulation, servo / transfer, EDC, die, press, and plant processes
  • Ability to identify and resolve formability, ICR attainment, throughput, equipment capability, and die / press interface constraints
  • Ability to manage KPIs, deliverable tracking, cross-functional problem solving, employee selection, training, development, and evaluation
  • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, or J-1 support
  • Expected to report to the specific work location on a full-time basis
  • Willingness to travel less than 25%
  • Must be able to work without relocation benefits; relocation costs are the candidate's responsibility
