About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date data in the financial accounting system
  • Maintain the company travel platform and approval system
  • Review, approve, and ensure timely payment of employee expense claims
  • Raise customer invoices promptly and support customers in making payments when due
  • Ensure suppliers are paid according to contracted payment terms
  • Prepare month-end schedules and journals
  • Complete quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage banking platform activities including transfers, investments, payments, and refunds
  • Track and manage banking reconciliations
  • Complete compliance requirements such as ONS surveys and assist with US tax matters
  • Support R&D tax credit calculations and financial audits
  • Assist with monthly management reports
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Act as the main point of contact for accounting system, employee expense, and banking queries
  • Support compliance with US and UK requirements, including HMRC and IRS

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Analytical and detail-focused mindset
  • Proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drive for continual efficiency, quality, and process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Studying towards or interested in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Undergraduate degree with at least a 2:1
  • Ability to work in London with 2 days a week in the office
