About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software architecture, software design, algorithm design, unit test development, integration test development, embedded software development, software verification, and validation
Coordinate with Hardware, Mechanical, Product, Software Project Engineering, and System Engineering teams
Design and implement features for embedded platforms, including camera, SoC, sensor, chipset bring-up, and driver development
Participate in code reviews, estimation, and planning meetings
Contribute to process improvement and software compliance activities
Assist with recruiting and screening candidates as required
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Promote quality, problem solving, adaptability, conceptual thinking, collaborative relationships, honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and workplace safety

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
2+ years of technical experience in all phases of software development lifecycle
Detailed, ongoing, current knowledge of electronics components and systems
High proficiency in C, C++, assembly languages, and real time operating systems
In-depth knowledge of embedded systems
Highly motivated with good communication and people skills
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and strong multi-tasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong Linux experience preferred
Experience with video, audio, signal processing, and compression preferred
Experience with camera development and Image Signal Processing preferred
Experience with Wi-Fi and BLE preferred
Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and similar tools preferred
Familiarity with Agile processes preferred
Familiarity with static analysis tools, code coverage metrics, and unit test generation preferred
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
