About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage all Functional Safety engineering activities for assigned programs.
Deliver aligned Functional Safety plans and progress for Gentex projects.
Identify, plan, and schedule Functional Safety tasks for existing and new programs.
Align and document the strategy for executing planned Functional Safety activities.
Define and track Functional Safety KPIs for assigned programs.
Identify and manage program stakeholders for planned Functional Safety activities.
Delegate planned activities to other team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Promote high work standards and continuous improvement.
Adapt to evolving systems, processes, structures, requirements, and regulations.
Comply with company policies, safety regulations, and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
Comprehension of TIER 1 and OEM PS&S-relevant processes and standards.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) helpful.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO21434, ISO27001) helpful.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills helpful.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment helpful.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S., as Gentex uses E-Verify.
