Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services supporting critical business processes.
Investigate production incidents, resolve defects, and implement enhancements to improve system reliability and user experience.
Translate business requirements and user stories into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Participate in application design discussions and contribute technical solution recommendations.
Develop and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.
Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and production incidents; identify root causes and implement solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and system design artifacts.
Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices and coding standards.
Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams.
Contribute to application modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Use approved AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity, delivery, code quality, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Validate, test, secure, and maintain AI-generated code and recommendations.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and software delivery automation.
Work effectively with distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3-5+ years of experience in application development or software engineering.
3+ years of experience developing applications using Java.
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, or similar enterprise application frameworks.
Experience developing, supporting, and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
Working knowledge of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, and modern development practices.
Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
Experience using Git-based source control systems and collaborative development workflows.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions in a dynamic environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Passion for continuous learning and adopting emerging technologies.
