About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage contracts with geoprocessing service providers by preparing and discussing technical aspects, monitoring the progress of contracted services, and clarifying questions regarding suppliers’ activities.
- Analyze and approve geospatial information prepared and delivered by suppliers.
- Create and structure new quality-control and project-execution methodologies for the company’s geoprocessing projects.
- Conduct technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to align understanding and expectations regarding requirements, methodologies, and quality standards.
- Provide clients with data support and first-level support for the Geopixel Cidades platform.
- Support the Marketing and Sales teams by generating samples and demonstrations, and participate in technical visits to clients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartographic Engineering, Architecture, Geoprocessing Technology, Forestry Engineering, Biology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, or proven professional experience in the area.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Geoprocessing or another compatible field of study.
- International language certification, such as TOEFL, preferred.
- Knowledge of databases, preferably PostgreSQL, preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Cartography.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft platform.
- Advanced proficiency in GIS tools such as QGIS and AutoCAD, among others, and/or digital image-processing tools such as PCI, Pix4D, ERDAS, ENVI, eCognition, Métrica Topo, and Potree, among others.
- Intermediate knowledge of relational databases.
- Intermediate English.
- Intermediate proficiency in at least one programming language, with a solid understanding of programming logic.
- Good knowledge of municipal taxation.
- Intermediate knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Basic knowledge of the project life cycle.
- Knowledge of project management.
- Advanced knowledge of one of the company’s business areas: MDU, PGV, PDI, MMT, REURB, LADO, BIC, and urban monitoring.
