About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret documentation and task descriptions
- Understand and support solution design activities
- Write code according to the company’s established programming best practices
- Develop software using basic object-oriented programming concepts and applying software engineering techniques
- Implement graphical components/interfaces according to defined designs
- Write and execute automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Use code repositories for version control
- Understand the functional and non-functional requirements associated with the system under development
- Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders (clients)
- Develop small modules or features
- Collaborate with other team members
- Continuously learn and improve skills
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed bachelor’s degree or technologist degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge required for the position
- Experience with the Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS programming languages
- Experience with PostgreSQL databases
- Knowledge of either the Spring or React frameworks
- Code version control: Git
- Knowledge of Design Patterns
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and Data Structures
- Code repository or professional experience demonstrating the knowledge described above
- Availability for business travel, either driving or accompanying other team members
- Advanced technical English reading proficiency
- Preferred: availability for occasional travel to client sites, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to drive
