About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop customized planning and scheduling solutions based on an APS platform for customer projects
- Develop customer-specific features in Python
- Use AI-assisted methods throughout the entire process, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing and documentation
- Use agentic coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, and Cursor AI for refactoring, test generation, and code analysis
- Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, and security
- Contribute to the ongoing development of planning algorithms
- Maintain existing customer solutions
- Implement customization within the context of customer projects
- Share experience with AI workflows within the team, for example through shared prompts, project configurations, and best practices
- Collaborate as part of a team and work directly with customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in computer science, natural sciences, or a comparable IT-related qualification; alternatively, relevant practical experience
- Solid knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming
- Practical experience with AI-assisted software development
- Experience with LLM-based coding tools
- Curiosity about new AI developments and willingness to continuously adapt working methods
- Willingness to work as part of a team and interact directly with customers
- Very good German language skills
- Good English language skills
- Willingness to work on-site at the Leipzig office at least two days per week
