About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure compliance with the company's material traffic and foreign trade operations
  • Coordinate import and export traffic and foreign trade operations
  • Verify compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Coordinate transportation, customs crossing, and delivery of imported or exported materials and equipment
  • Update and deliver information on taxes and charges under customs regulations
  • Manage information related to customs agents and international logistics operators
  • Determine import regimes and transfers to the plant
  • Request payment of taxes and transfers
  • Monitor land, sea, air, and rail shipments and their timely arrival
  • Contact customs agents and negotiate costs and services
  • Review expense accounts and authorize payments
  • Request government procedures for development programs
  • Control IMMEX, PROSEC, and Annex 24 programs
  • Quote and evaluate transportation options
  • Receive imported merchandise and deliver it to the corresponding departments
  • Capture merchandise transfer records
  • Expedite customs clearance and urgent shipments
  • Manage service providers including insurance, courier, and cargo providers
  • Review service budgets
  • Fill out and prepare certificates of origin
  • Manage freight and customs-agent budgets and accounts
  • Analyze and solve problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in international trade, international business or related
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of tax laws
  • Intermediate English
  • Knowledge of international logistics
  • Knowledge of customs law
  • Office package proficiency
  • SAP (desirable)
