About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research, plan, coordinate design, and monitor mechanical, electromechanical, and welding equipment to support production goals
Create, document, develop, and deliver procedures addressing Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets
Act as process owner and technical leader for hot and cold stamping presses, lines, and robotics
Analyze equipment conditions, operating characteristics, and available data to improve KPIs such as run rate, throughput, and material reduction
Troubleshoot chronic and catastrophic downtime with Maintenance
Generate sustainability documentation, including how-to documents and procedures
Optimize preventive maintenance based on downtime, history, OEM recommendations, failure modes, and feedback
Manage spare parts early and work with vendors on improved products
Assist and train the Maintenance Team in standardized processes, root cause analysis, and 5S
Lead continuous improvement activities for Quality, Delivery, and Cost
Design, install, and debug machinery and capital equipment
Support Program Management in evaluating new work, processes, and engineering changes
Support Quality in evaluating and improving product dimensional reports
Support Kaizen implementation, cross-training, problem solving, operational metrics, and operational needs
Provide maintenance support during online troubleshooting and corrective action implementation, including interfaces with controls, robots, and PLC systems
Participate in Layered Process Audits and applicable ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer-standard audits

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic / Mechanical Engineering / Technical degree or equivalent, or 5+ years’ experience and training in a similar role and environment
Work experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Automotive industry experience preferred
Compliance with OSHA, safety and PPE requirements
Knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical, welding, robotics, controls, and PLC systems
Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement 5S
ISO/TS 16949 internal auditor qualification applies for participation in certified internal audits
