About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounting routines, ensuring compliance with CPC and IFRS
- Perform accounting account integrations and reconciliations
- Lead monthly accounting close processes and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare and review trial balances, general ledgers, provisions, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements
- Prepare closing files, supporting reports, and documentation for independent audits
- Respond to inquiries from external auditors and internal departments
- Analyze industrial costs, inventory, imports, and fixed assets
- Identify inconsistencies in journal entries, integrations, and system configurations, and propose solutions
- Act as a consultant to Billing, Sales, Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Human Resources departments
- Identify opportunities to automate and optimize accounting routines
- Share technical knowledge and support less experienced professionals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- At least 5 years of proven experience in corporate accounting, including senior-level responsibilities
- Experience with monthly accounting close, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis
- Experience in industrial accounting, including production costs, inventory, imports, and fixed assets
- Experience preparing documents, reports, and reconciliations for external audits
- Experience analyzing accounting integrations and identifying inconsistencies in processes and systems
- Experience preparing and analyzing information used in financial statements
- Strong knowledge of CPC technical pronouncements, IFRS standards, and accounting applicable to publicly traded companies
- Advanced proficiency in complex balance sheet reconciliations, trial balance analysis, general ledger, provisions, and closing processes
- Knowledge of tax legislation applicable to the Actual Profit regime, including PIS, COFINS, IRPJ, CSLL, withholding taxes, and ancillary tax obligations
- Operational proficiency with the TOTVS Protheus ERP
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data matching, and analysis of large data sets
- Knowledge of Google Workspace tools
- Ability to identify system configuration issues and propose improvements
- Active and compliant CRC registration preferred
- Completed or ongoing postgraduate studies in Controllership, Corporate Finance, or related fields preferred
- Experience in large industrial companies or publicly traded companies preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and management report development preferred
