About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and enhance existing agents built with LangChain/LangGraph, from architecture through implementation
- Build agent tools connected to the clinic’s business operations and integrate them with APIs and WhatsApp
- Ensure workflow reliability, including persistent state across conversations, queues, retries, and failure handling
- Measure agent quality, cost, and latency using evaluations, logs, and metrics
- Serve as the team’s technical AI reference and collaborate with Product on delivery planning
- Maintain and evolve agents that communicate with patients and staff via WhatsApp and perform real business tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Production experience with Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic
- Experience with LangChain and LangGraph, or another agent framework, and willingness to work with LangGraph
- Experience integrating LLMs into a real-world application, including tool calling, structured outputs, and RAG
- PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Automated testing with Pytest and sound practices such as Clean Architecture
- Asynchronous processing, including queues, webhooks, or messaging
- LLM evaluation (evals) and tools such as Langfuse or LangSmith
- WhatsApp Cloud API or an official provider (BSP)
- Docker and AWS (ECS/Fargate, SQS, Bedrock)
- Security in LLM applications, including prompt injection and data exposure, as well as familiarity with Brazil’s LGPD
- Experience with technical leadership or mentoring
- Experience in healthcare or clinical settings
- Ownership mindset and the proactivity to solve problems beyond the code
- Humility to teach, learn, and ask for help
- Pragmatism to balance speed and quality in a rapidly changing field
