About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify user drop-off from installation through first win and team-wide adoption
Design and run experiments with clear hypotheses, feature flags, and measurable outcomes
Own activation for Viktor in Slack and Viktor projects, including first run, first task, and time-to-value
Improve feature discoverability, retention, onboarding conversations, defaults, and in-product prompts
Build land-and-expand loops including invites, sharing, and referrals
Instrument every shipped change with measurable metrics
Build whatever is needed across the product surface, including database changes
Collaborate directly with founders, design, growth, and the Growth Data Scientist
Ship product changes rapidly and talk to users from the first day
Use Viktor to build Viktor

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience moving activation, retention, or conversion, with demonstrable before-and-after results
Experience running A/B tests with clear hypotheses and actionable results
Experience shipping and owning a real product used by real users, end to end
Strong engineering ability, including independently shipping PRs that touch databases and user data
Depth in a technical area; ability to move across the stack when experiments require it
Experience with instrumentation and experimentation
Customer-first, data-driven product intuition
Ability to define activated users, analyze metrics, and identify funnel leakage
Detail orientation around empty states, microcopy, and edge cases
Ability to talk to users and own outcomes
Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality
Daily use of agentic coding and AI tooling
TypeScript and React experience
Python experience
Experience with Modal infrastructure
Experience building growth loops such as referrals, invites, or lifecycle programs is an advantage
Founder or early-stage builder experience is an advantage
Experience shipping products with real traction is an advantage
