About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design core Viktor product surfaces across Slack, Microsoft Teams, web, desktop, and mobile apps
  • Design onboarding, integrations, permissions, billing, collaboration, and admin flows
  • Set the visual bar through typography, color, spacing, and composition
  • Turn vague, high-stakes product problems into clear interaction models
  • Work directly with engineers to ship quickly
  • Prototype AI-native UX patterns
  • Improve clarity, trust, and control when AI behavior is confusing
  • Refine empty states, loading states, error states, edge cases, copy, spacing, and hierarchy
  • Raise the product taste bar across user-facing experiences
  • Help define UX patterns for delegating work, tracking progress, correcting behavior, understanding cost, trusting outputs, and collaborating with an AI teammate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong product taste and ability to explain interaction quality
  • Exceptional visual design skills in typography, color, layout, and composition
  • Very high craft in interaction design and detail
  • High autonomy and ability to work from ambiguous problems
  • Ability to move quickly from ambiguous problem to prototype to shipped product
  • Systems thinking and ability to design reusable patterns
  • Comfort with ambiguity, particularly in AI products
  • Strong collaboration with engineers and understanding of technical constraints
  • Portfolio with real product work
  • Experience with products where interaction quality, speed, and trust matter
  • Ability to design both happy paths and edge cases
  • Experience or interest in inventing interaction patterns for AI employees
  • Familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, v0, or similar prototyping tools is an advantage
  • Understanding of the difference between a polished Figma prototype and a usable product
